Canon to launch carbon neutral print cartridge recycling

The program, which is being run in collaboration with IndustryRe, a leading sustainable management consultancy firm, will use carbon credit offsets to make up for any CO2 emission produced as part of Canon's recycling program.

Canon business customers in the UAE can apply to the program, which offers free recycling of Canon toner and ink cartridges, with collection of empty cartridges by IndustryRe. All collected cartridges are sent to the Netherlands for proper recycling, to reduce waste.
